A 58-year-old woman teacher was found murdered in the city's Reshamghar colony today.
Anita Suri, senior faculty at AMT School, was found dead at her residence this morning, a police officer said.
The real cause behind her death was not known yet, but the body had signs of assault, he said, adding the "circumstantial evidence hinted that she was murdered with a sharp-edged weapon".
The body has been handed over to her family members after legal and medical formalities, the officer said.
A case has been registered and investigation started, he said, adding some persons have been detained for questioning.
