Food Safety cell today seized

about 1,300 bottles of expired foreign made beer from a private resort in nearby Mettupalayam

Based on a tip off that expired liquor was being sold in the resort, the sleuths from the cell carried out a raid and found 1,300 bottles of expired foreign made beer, police said.

Further investigations were on on the sale of beer, the value of which ran into lakhs, they said.
