The Management of a magnet producing factory in Kalyani Industrial Belt in Nadia has issued a notice of "suspension of work" allegedly due to labour unrest.
The factory has about 34 workers and it has been running since last 20 years but closed since yesterday, Madan Singh an official of Kalyani Chamber of Commerce said.
While the statement of the authority was not available, Singh stated that it is an old factory but the labour related problem had been going on since long.
" We hope it would be solved through a meeting between the labour commissioner and the management in presence of the workers," Madan Singh said.
