A group of Faridabad residents today submitted a memorandum to Deputy Mayor Mukesh Sharma, requesting him to restrict installation of mobile telephone towers considering its harmful effects.

The memorandum contained objection on the installation of a tower in Jawahar Colony.

Kuldip Singh, along with other residents, submitted the memorandum accusing a resident of allowing installation of a tower without required permission.

The Deputy Mayor asked the officials concerned to ensure that the guidelines decided by the honourable Supreme Court in this matter is followed.

If anyone is found to be violating the directions, action would be taken against him and if needed, a FIR would be filed against the person, the Deputy Mayor added.
