Farmer dies after lightning strike

A 40-year-old farmer was killed after being struck by lightning at Malak Pinjari village in Manjhanpur area here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when Jajatpal Raidas was working in his field and lightning struck him, they said.

He died on the spot, police added.

The body of victim has been sent for post-mortem.
