FIR against 4 for firing on police party

An FIR was filed against unidentified people for opening fire on a police party at a crossing in Raja Ka Rampur when the cops tried to stop a tractor-trolley carrying sand, police said today.

The incident took place last night when police were checking vehicles at the crossing. They tried to stop the trolley but it sped away. After that, four persons came in a car and allegedly fired on the police party, they said.

Police have lodged an FIR against an accused identified as Pappoo and three othersin this connection. Further investigations are underway.
