Five get life term in murder case

A local court has sentenced five persons to life imprisonment in a more than three-year-old murder case.
Additional district judge Umashanker held Mohan and his accomplices Ramashanker, Bachchan, Manoj and Ravindra guilty in the case and pronounced the verdict on them yesterday, the government counsel said here.
The court also imposed a penalty of Rs 35,000 each on the convicts, he said.

According to the counsel, Mohan Gaur poisoned his wife Indu Devi, and five children-- Harikesh, Rakesh, Vikas, Sita and Shilpi -- at Bhaisahi village in Bankata area of Deoria district in February, 2010.
Later, with the help of his accomplices, Mohan threw the bodies on railway tracks to give it a shape of suicides, he said.
