Five infants die in Malda hospital

Five infants died in the state- run Malda Medical College and Hospital here, an official said today.

The infants, aged 2 days to 14 days, died yesterday mainly due to low birth weight and septicaemia, Medical Superintendent-cum Vice Principal, Amit Dawn, told reporters here.

On Wednesday, two infants with low birth weight had died, he said.
