Five people died today when their car plunged into a canal in Bhaguali Tirth village here, the police said.
The car was travelling from Fatehpur to Mahmoodabad when the incident happened.
Locals along with the police pulled the passengers out of the vehicle and sent them to a community health centre in Fatehpur where they were declared dead.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, police said.
