Five persons were arrested from different areas here and nearly 1,300 bottles of smuggled liquor were recovered from them, police said today.
The accused have been identified as Prem Pal, Lalit, Amar Pal, Nand Kishore and Shiv Prasad.
All the accused have been booked under the Excise Act and sent to judicial custody, police said.
Prem, Lalit and Amar were arrested from Kherli Bhav Kalpur crossing in Rabupura last night and 1220 bottles of smuggled Haryana made country liquor were recovered from them.
In a separate incident, police recovered 25 and 48 bottles of smuggled liquor from Nand Kishore and Shiv Prasad respectively.
