Five policemen were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in Bihar today.
In Rohtas district, three policemen died when their patrolling jeep collided with a speeding truck on NH-2 near toll plaza under Shiv sagar police station area, Superintendent of Police Pervez Akhtar said.
One policeman was injured in the accident and was admitted to a government hospital, the SP said.

After the collision, the truck overturned on the road and the driver and cleaner escaped, the SP said.
The dead were identified as Arun Kumar Rai, Umesh Kumar, and Ashok Tripathy, driver of the jeep, Akhtar added.
In an another incident in Siwan district, two homeguards were killed on the spot and as many injured when a jeep collided with a truck in the early morning due to fog under Jiradei police station area, Station House Officer Dayanand Prasad said.
The bodies were identified as Bhagwan Tiwary and Mutur Ram.
The injured have been admitted to Sadar hospital, SHO added.
The driver managed to escape with the truck after the incident.
