Krishna District Collector Babu A officially announced here today that the flyover to be constructed at a cost of Rs 427 crore near the Sri Kanaka Durga temple on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad national highway would have to be completed by July 2016 in view of Krishna Pushkaram festival.
According to a release by the AP State Information Department, District Collector Babu A and Chief Engineer from the Union Ministry of Roads and Transport, jointly visited the site of the flyover.
The collector said that total length of the flyover is 2,350 metres, including its approach roads, the release said.
He said that about 28,000 square metres of land is to be acquired to construct the flyover within city limits, the release said.
He said that the flyover would ease traffic at the entry point of the city from Hyderabad, the release said.
