fake passport case against extradited gangster Chhota Rajan in which he and three retired government officials were today awarded seven years jail term by a special court:

1995: Red Corner Notice was issued against Rajan.

Oct 25, 2015: Rajan nabbed at Bali airport on his arrival from Australia while travelling on a fake Indian passport issued in the name of Mohan Kumar.

Nov 6: Rajan deported to India.

Feb 2, 2016: CBI files charge sheet.

Feb 5: Court takes cognisance of the charge sheet, summons three retired public servants, chargesheeted along with Rajan.

Mar 14: Three retired officials granted bail.
 

May 3: CBI files supplementary charge sheet.

May 16: Court takes cognisance of the supplementary charge sheet.

May 23: Court reserves order on framing of charges.

Jun 8: Court frames charges against Rajan, others.

Jul 11: Court begins trial on a day-to-day basis.

Mar 28, 2017: Court reserves judgement in the case.
