Former Union minister Bolla Bulliramaiah dies

Former and veteran TDP leader Bulliramaiah died of old age-related illness this morning, party sources said.

He was 92.

Bulliramaiah was ailing since some time. He breathed his last at his residence in his hometown Tanuku in Andhra Pradesh today, the sources said.

N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister N China Rajappa, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and several other (TDP) leaders condoled his death.

Bulliramaiah, who was known as a genial person, joined the TDP during its inception and became an in 1984.

He was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Eluru constituency in 1991, 1996 and 1999 and served as the Union during 1996-98 in the United Front government.
