Copper prices fell 0.34 per cent to 447.80 per kg in futures market today as speculators booked profits amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February declined by Rs 1.55, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 447.80 per kg in a business turnover of 2,645 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month April shed Rs 1.40, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 452.40 per kg in 52 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants, fall in demand from consuming industries in the physical market influenced copper prices in futures trade.
