Four women of a family, including a girl, were today crushed to death by an SUV while they were out on morning walk at Kishgarhbas area near Alwar district.
The incident took place around 5 am when all four of them were out on morning walk and the SUV hit them from behind, police said.
One of them died on the spot while three succumbed to their injuries at Alwar hospital, they said, adding one of them was pregnant.
The driver fled with the vehicle, police said.
The deceased were identified as Kiran Devi, Shakuntala Devi, Mamta, and Lalita, police said, adding, their age was yet to be confirmed.
The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem.
Police have alerted all check posts and toll to identify and intercept the vehicle.
