Free travel for women in Hry roadways buses on Raksha Bandhan
The Haryana government has decided to allow free travel facility to women and their minor children on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on August 7.
The facility would be valid from noon of August 6 till midnight of August 7, an official spokesman said here today.
"In a gift to women and girls on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Haryana Government has decided to allow free travel to them in ordinary buses of Haryana Roadways operating within the state, including such buses plying up to Chandigarh and Delhi," he said.

He also said the women can travel with their children who are up to 15 years of age.
The free travel facility was started by the state government in 2006.
