Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for a few centres eased by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following easy availability of trucks amid restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said restricted cargo movements against comfortable position of trucks mainly led to the fall in freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Kanpur, Indore and Puducherry freight rates went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 21,500, Rs 23,000 and Rs 72,000.
Rates to Vijaywada and Surat too fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 60,000 and Rs 27,000.
