A gangster facing over two dozen criminal cases was shot dead by unidentified persons today, police said.
Deva alias Happy (42) of Faridkot, who was out on bail, was shot dead while travelling in an autorickshaw near Gandhi Memorial School here.
Police said the assailants, who were riding a motorcycle, escaped from the spot after committing the crime.
The body was taken for postmortem examination to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot.
