Ganja plants destroyed

plants cultivated in a huge tract in Kandhamal district of Odisha were destroyed in a special operation by a multi-department squad, police said here today.
On a tip off, police and excise personnal conducted a raid on the fields at Palaburudi and Rakida under Gochhapada police station yesterday and destroyed altogether 25,895 plants, sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), Phulbani Sadar, Govind Sethi said.
The value of the contrband substance was estimated to be Rs 2.59 crore, he said.
