Two persons allegedly opened fire on a girl and her father for objecting to her harassment, police said today.
The incident happened yesterday when the girl, who was standing on her porch, was harassed and assaulted by the two accused, Alam and Niyaz Ali. They also beat up her father Bashir when he tried to stop them, police said.
The duo fled after allegedly opening fire at the man and his daughter, both of whom escaped without bullet injuries, police said
The victims filed an FIR with Etah police station and were sent to hospital for medical examination.
No arrest has been made so far, Circle Officer of Etah police station Nibesh Katiyar said, adding that investigation was underway.
