Girl kidnapped

A first year girl engineering

student was kidnapped by an unknown gang in a car when she was waiting for the college bus in Salem, police said.

The 18-year girl was waiting for the bus along with mother in Seeranaickenpatti when a gang in a car suddenly pushed the mother and took away the girl in the vehicle, police said.

She was studying in a private college in Namakkal.

Attempts by some motorcyclists to nab the abductors remained futile, police said.
