A 21-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her paramour, police said today.
The incident came to light when police saw the girl and the accused Ambrish Kanaujia (23) fighting with each other at Lalbagh tempo stand here, Circle officer SK Singh said.
They were then taken to the city police station where the girl alleged that she was raped by Kanaujia and two others last night and and he had come to drop her at tempo stand this morning, he said.
An FIR under section 376 (Punishment for rape) has been registered against Kanaujia, Singh said.
Prima facie, it appears the girl was having an affair with Kanaujia who took the victim to Mishrik area here and allegedly raped her.
The accused has been arrested, police said adding, a further probe into the matter is on.
