A girl was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for killing her father three years ago.
Additional Sessions Judge Jyoti Kumar Tripathi held Shivani guilty yesterday and announced the sentence.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 on her.
In January 2012, Shivani along with her lover Shivam Tripathi attacked her father Yogendra Kumar Saxena with an iron rod and handle of a tap, prosecution lawyer said.
Saxena was admitted to a private hospital where he died during treatment, said his son Shivam.
Shivam testified against his sister in the court, the lawyer said.
