Union Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu today met a delegation led by Malkajgiri Lok Sabha MP Malla Reddy regarding issues concerning Secunderabad Cantonment.
According to a statement from the Urban Development Minister's Office, Naidu invited Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar to join the meeting with the delegation to discuss various developmental and welfare related issues of Secunderabad Cantonment.
The delegation discussed many issues faced by civilians in the cantonment area including lack of coordination between the elected members and military officers, leading to delay in decision-making and large gap between municipal rules and regulations of the cantonment, the statement said.
