Girl shot dead in celebratory firing

The girl died after being hit by a bullet allegedly fired by BSP leader Pradeep Kumar Gautam during a marriage function in Pathkpurwa village last night, ASP Vijay Yadav said.

An FIR has been lodged against Gautam and one Guddu on the complaint of the victim's mother Laxmi Devi, he said.

Local residents have alleged that the BSP leader opened fire while dancing in an inebriated condition during the ceremony.
