Give up bureaucratic attitude: Gujarat Chief Minister to babus

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel asked state government officials today to be "alert" and give up their bureaucratic attitude for better implementation of state and central government schemes meant for people in rural areas.

"Officers should come out of their air-conditioned chambers and spend maximum possible time on the field to find out problems faced by people living in rural areas and solve them," Patel told Gujarat state government officials here today.

Patel held a review meeting at the state government's 'Gatisheel Gujarat' project. Around 22 secretaries of various department, besides 12 collectors and district development officers of the various districts including Saurashtra and Kutch were present at the meeting.
 

During the meeting, she also gave district authorities of the region a fresh target construct sufficient toilets in every village.
