GJM trade union leader found murdered

A trade union leader of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) was found murdered under mysterious circumstances at Hebong area, about 8 km from here, police said today.

The body of Suraj Tamang had a lot of wounds and he was probably murdered last night, they said.

The body has been sent for postmortem and further investigations are on, police added.

Tamang was a GJM trade union leader of the tea gardens in the Darjeeling Hills.
