The government would adhere to the order of the Supreme Court and the Central Empowered Committee appointed by it on the issue of reallotment of "C" category mines in the districts of Ballari, Chitradurga and Tumkur, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said today.

The state government had in September 2012 cancelled 51 mining leases in Category C following directions of the Supreme Court in April.

The Chief Minister was replying to a query on the CEC recommending grant of approval to the Karnataka government's proposed scheme of e-auction and re-allotment of 51 cancelled mines in 'Category C' in Ballari, Chitradurga and Tumkur.

To a query, he criticised former union minister Jayanthi Natarajan's attack on Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and said the party had rewarded her in so many ways.
