Guarseed prices were trading lower by Rs 36 to Rs 3,362 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators reduced their exposure, taking weak cues from physical markets.
Marketmen said a weak trend at the physical markets due to fall in demand and persistent arrivals, mainly led to the fall in guarseed prices in futures trading.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guarseed 10 mt for delivery in December dipped by Rs 36 or 1.06 per cent to Rs 3,362 per quintal, with an open interest of 50,020 lots.
Also, the most-active delivery in November dropped by Rs 33 or 0.98 per cent to Rs 3,325 per quintal, with a business turnover of 50,080 open lots.
