Gujarati humorist Jagdish Trivedi to perform in Pakistan

The forum is holding an international meet of businessmen in Karachi and has invited Trivedi to perform.
JIBA, a global economic forum of businessmen and industrialists promoted by the Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri community, had organised a convention in Ahmedabad recently where Trivedi was invited to perform.
Trivedi received a visa for seven days following JIBA's recommendation to Pakistan Home Minister Rehman Malik.
"I did not expect to get a visa to perform in Pakistan because of the ongoing tension between the two countries. But, the businessmen there requested the Pakistan Home Ministry to expedite my visa," Trivedi said.
Trivedi, who will leave for Pakistan on January 24, considers it to be an opportunity to spread brotherhood between the two countries.
"I consider this an opportunity to spread brotherhood between the two countries. I will recite humorous poems which about human relationships," he said.
Trivedi's performance is slated for January 27 and he is expected to return to India the next day.
