Gur price settles steady on small buying

The wholesale Jaggery market settled on a steady note in the national capital today on small buying support.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended on previous closing levels in the absence of any worthwhile moving factors.

Marketmen said sporadic buying support along with adequate stocks position, mainly held prices unmoved.

The following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,800-2,900, pedi 2,850-2,950, dhayya 2,900- 3,000 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,500-2,550, chakku 2,625-2,850, khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,500-2,600.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,500-2,550 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
