Gur prices remain flat in tight movements

There was not much activity at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices continued to move in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at previous levels.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a similar trend on lack of buying support.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against spradic demand mainly kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,600-2,650, chakku Rs 3,100- 3,200,khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,400-3,450 and dhayya Rs 3,450- 3,500.
