Gur settles steady on small buying

There was no change in the pattern of trading at the wholesale Jaggery market here today as prices continued to rule quiet on small buying support.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended on previous closing levels in the absence of any worthwhile moving factors.

Marketmen said sporadic buying support against adequate stocks position, mainly held prices unmoved.

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,800-2,900, pedi 2,850-2,950, dhayya 2,900- 3,000 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,500-2,550, chakku 2,625-2,850, khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,500-2,600.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,500-2,550 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
