GVK group to support young Hyderabad girl Pranjala

"GVK has come forward to help Pranjala realise her dream and this gesture has been prompted purely to support the talented player," said a media release from the company.

As per the release, GVK would provide 13-year-old Pranjala, ranked number four in the under-16 age group for girls, financial aid for her training and participation in various tournaments which includes travelling to Europe in July this year.

"Pranjala has the right temperament which I really liked. Moreover, she has immense potential and I most definitely want to see her on top of the tennis world," said Dr GVK Reddy, founder chairman and managing director of GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd.

 

"We at GVK have always strongly believed in talent being given the right kind of encouragement at the appropriate time. Pranjala's sponsorship is an initiative in this direction," added Reddy.
