Hariharan to get MP govt's Lata Mangeshkar award

Singer Hariharan would be receiving 'Lata Mangeshkar Samman Alankaran' at a function here on May 20.

The award, which consists of Rs 2 lakh and a citation, is instituted by the Madhya Pradesh Government.

The award distribution will be a part of a three-day cultural event here, said Divisional Commissioner and Local Organising Committee Chairman Sanjay Dubey.

The award is given to a singer and a music composer alternately; last year's recipient was Rajesh Roshan.
