HC asks govt to install active device in sonography centres

Additional Advocate General R P Singh informed the court that the government was ready to install the device in six months, but the court rejected the contention and directed to comply with the order within four months.

The active tracker device keeps record of data of sonography machines.

The order came on an application filed by a man named S K Gupta in March seeking direction to the government for taking effective steps to curb sex determination in view of declining sex ratio.
