Heritage status for Netaji's ancestral house at Kodalia

"We will give heritage status to it. If needed, we are ready to acquire the land. We have also decided to properly maintain the house which was not being done all these years," Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, referring to alleged neglect by the earlier Left Front government.

She said she had asked the authorities to repair the road leading to the house.
