Heroin seized, 2 Myanmarese arrested

Two Myanmarese nationals were arrested and 11 gm heroin was seized in the Bawngkawn locality here.

The contraband was seized yesterday by officials of the Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department on a tip- off, a release said today.

The two Myanmarese youths were arrested and booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Officials said the heroin was smuggled from Myanmar and was meant to be sold in Aizawl.
