HMSI sales up 50 per cent in January

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported a 49.69 per cent growth in sales at 3,44,750 units for January, 2014.

The company's total sales stood at 2,30,294 units in the corresponding month of previous year.

Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 37 per cent to 1,63,273 units in January, 2014 from 1,18,750 units in the same month of previous year, HMSI said in a statement.

The company also reported an increase of 63 per cent in scooter sales at 1,81,477 units from 1,11,544 units in January, 2013, it added.
