Horiba Mira opens new testing facility in Pune

Japanese technology major Horiba Mira today bolstered its worldwide automotive engineering and testing capabilities with a new facility in Pune.

The new site increases the company's presence in the country and will provide in-territory base to deliver comprehensive vehicle attribute engineering and testing programme, the company, a part of the Japanese automotive engineering major Horiba, said.

While Horiba Mira will also utilise the automotive test systems within the Horbia India's just launched technical centre in Pune, it will on its own provide a suite of emissions-testing for vehicle manufacturers, delivering on its global-growth strategy at regional level.

Declan Allen, chief operating officer of Horiba Mira, said, "Pune facility presents an exceptional platform for us to deliver a broader portfolio of test and development capabilities in support of our key customers here."
 

Horiba Mira has been providing engineering, research and test services to the automotive, defence, aerospace and rail sectors for the past seven decades.
