Sanitary and bathroom equipment maker HSIL today reported a 4.27 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 38.10 crore for the March quarter.
It had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 39.80 crore in the January-March quarter a year-ago, HSIL said in a BSE filing.
Net sales during the period under review saw a rise of 6.89 per cent at Rs 625.73 crore as against Rs 585.39 crore in the year-ago period.

For the 2015-16 fiscal, HSIL's consolidated net profit was up 4.21 per cent at Rs 89.04 crore as against a net profit of Rs 85.44 crore in the previous fiscal.
Its net sales were up 3.13 per cent to Rs 2,151.59 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs 2,086.23 crore in 2014-15.
Shares of HSIL today closed 0.17 per cent up at Rs 290.05 apiece on BSE.
