I dreamed about getting a 94 last night: Stefanie

Press Trust of India Mumbai

"I actually dreamed last night that I made 94. I woke up and said to my roommate (Shemaine Campbelle) that I dreamed that I made 94 and she asked me 'where is the six'," said the player of the match after West Indies' thumping victory at the MIG Club ground at Bandra today.

"I said I am actually up and I don't know where it's going. She reminded me about this when I went out to bat and I told her it's in the back of my mind and I will definitely get the six (needed to get to a hundred)," added the 21-year-old Jamaican who hit 18 fours and two sixes while compiling her fourth ODI hundred in women's cricket.

West Indies, riding on her superb knock and Deandra Dottin's record-breaking 20-ball 50, ran up a record-high score of 368 for eight and then bowled out Lanka for a meagre 159 to emerge clear winners that threw open the four-team group.

Asked whether she can get a double hundred in future she said her coach Sherwin Campbell wanted her to get it today but she missed out as she was tired.

"My coach wanted me get it, but I got tired," she said.

"I love (West Indian opener and former captain) Christ Gayle," she said when asked who was her idol.

"I would not say this is the best I have ever played I liked this innings everything went so well for us today. Today was such a good day," she added. MORE
