Illegal arms factory busted, 3 held

An illegal arms factory was unearthed and three persons were arrested in this connection in Gadhgaura village in the Barabanki district, police said today.

Acting on a tip off, a joint team of crime branch and Ramnagar police raided a house yesterday in the village and arrested the trio involved in manufacturing illegal arms, they said.

Several country-made revolvers, finished and semi- finished fire-arms, cartridges and equipment needed to make these weapons were recovered from the spot, they said.

A case has been registered against the accused in this connection, police added.
