India's High Commissioner to Singapore Jawed Ashraf has been honoured here for his "tireless contribution to building and nurturing the Singapore-India relationship."
Ashraf was honoured by the IIM Alumni Association of Singapore (PIIMA) on Saturday.
He along with veteran businessman Girija Pande were conferred 'The Distinguished Alumnus Award' at the management institute's alumni conference, which was attended by around 750 Indian business executives and IIM alumni.
Considered by his peers as one of the finest minds in foreign service, Ashraf is an expert in the United States and Indo-American relations, read the citation for his award.
The award recognised Ashraf's "tireless contribution to building and nurturing the Singapore-India relationship."
Pande, rated as senior IIM alumni in Singapore, has been instrumental in setting up Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) which has expanded to 14 countries with more than 11,000 associates in Asia Pacific.
