Veteran French actor Isabelle Huppert will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Rome Film Festival.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Italian actor Toni Servillo will present the award to the Golden Globe award-winning star in a special ceremony in Rome in October.
The festival had previously announced the award for veteran filmmaker Martin Scorsese.
Acclaimed director Edoardo De Angelis will premiere his new film "The Vice of Hope" at the festival.
The film featuring Pina Turco and Cristina Donadio is a modern tale of revenge and reconciliation on the backdrop of the Volturno river.
The 13th Rome Film Festival takes place October 18-28.
