: Janmashtami was celebrated in Puducherry today with religious fervour and spiritual zeal.
Special poojas were held in temples. The Sri Krishna Mandir Trust held religious programmes such as aarthi and abishegam from this evening on the premises of the Sri Krishna temple in neighbouring Kottupalayam.
Residents decorated their homes with special rangolis and children dressed like Lord Krishna added to the highlights of the celebration of Krishna Jayanthi.
