Jawan killed as service rifle goes off accidentally

The jawan identified as Ajinder Kumar of Mahar regiment was hit by bullets when his service rifle went off accidentally last night in an army camp in Narian belt of the district, defence officials said.

He was immediately taken to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.

Army has ordered a court of inquiry into the incident.
