Jaya condoles death of M A M Ramaswamy

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today condoled the death of noted industrialist and philanthropist M A M Ramaswamy terming it as an "irreparable loss" and said that she was pained to hear of his demise.

"I am pained to hear his death. His demise is an irreparable loss to the state. I express my deep sympathy and pray for his soul to rest in peace," Jayalalithaa said in a statement here.

Ramaswamy has been an "efficient" Parliamentarian amd was an "affable" person, she said.

"As the grandson of the famous Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiyar and son of Rajah Sir M A Muthiah Chettiyar, Ramaswamy has worked for the welfare of education and for industrial development," she said.
 

84-year-old M A M Ramaswamy died due to kidney and heart related ailment on December 2 in Chennai.
