Jaya inaugurates police, fire dept residential complexes

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today inaugurated office and residential complexes for Police and Fire and Rescue Department, including the new headquarters of the Crime Branch CID here.

Jayalalithaa inaugurated the CB-CID complex at Egmore here which is constructed at the erstwhile Chennai Police Commissioner office premises.

The sprawling, four-storeyed building, constructed at an estimated Rs 10.17 crore, will house a number of wings of the CB-CID, an official release said.

Later the Chief Minister inaugurated through video-conferencing police stations, residential and official complexes of Police and Fire and Rescue Department constructed at various places in the state at a cost of Rs 113.31 crore, the release added.
